User Service and Software License Agreement
Welcome to SuperStage.
This SuperStage User Service and Software License Agreement (this "Agreement") is entered into between you and Foshan Yierranran Technology Co., Ltd. (the "Company", "we", "us") and governs your access to and use of the SuperStage software, the SuperStage Unreal Engine plugin, website accounts, license verification, updates, documentation, built-in assets, and related technical support services (together, the "Services").
This English version is written for our international users. It reflects the same commercial terms as the Chinese version, adapted where necessary for users outside mainland China. Where the mandatory law of your place of residence grants you protections that this Agreement cannot lawfully exclude, those protections prevail for you.
Please read carefully:
- This Agreement is a pre-drafted standard-form contract. Terms that materially affect your rights — license restrictions, device and online-session limits, trial rules, delivery and refunds for digital products, account actions, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and dispute resolution — are highlighted in bold or by headings.
- Read this Agreement in full before agreeing, purchasing, activating, installing, or using the Services. You may request an explanation of any term via the contact details at the end.
- Nothing in this Agreement excludes or limits liability that applicable law does not allow to be excluded or limited — including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud, intent, or gross negligence.
- SuperStage is a visualization, previsualization, and workflow tool for stage, lighting, and entertainment projects. It is not a safety-certified live-show control system and does not replace a lighting console, media server, mechanical safety system, fire and special-effects safety systems, on-site engineering review, or the judgment of qualified professionals.
- If you do not agree to this Agreement, do not agree, purchase, activate, install, or continue using the Services.

1.2 Types of users
"User" includes:
- an individual consumer acquiring the Services for personal, non-business purposes;
- a natural person, legal entity, or organization using the Services for business, professional, teaching, or project-delivery purposes (a "Business User");
- an employee, member, contractor, or student authorized by either of the above to install, sign in to, or operate the software.
If you accept this Agreement on behalf of an entity, team, school, or training institution, you confirm you have authority to bind it; the organization and its actual users must each comply with this Agreement.
1.3 Agreement documents
The contract between the parties consists of:
- this Agreement;
- the Privacy Policy and any processing notices that require separate consent;
- the SuperStage software license distributed with the plugin (the LICENSE file in the plugin installation directory);
- your order confirmation, payment records, invoices, or service documents;
- the plan, term, device, and seat information shown on your account entitlements page;
- the Education Seat Enrollment Confirmation accepted when an institution enrolls a student (Section 6);
- any separately signed Team, procurement, custom-development, channel, confidentiality, or other written agreement.
In case of conflict: a separately signed negotiated agreement prevails; specific order terms prevail over general product descriptions; this Agreement prevails over the LICENSE file distributed with the software; ambiguous standard terms are interpreted against the drafter where the law so requires.
2. Formation, Explanations, and Capacity
2.1 Formation
This Agreement is formed when, after the full text and required notices have been made available to you, you: confirm agreement during registration or sign-in and continue; click a button expressly indicating acceptance in the software, installer, website, or account pages; or sign an order or document referencing this Agreement.
Merely browsing public pages, or merely downloading a publicly available installer without installing or using it, does not by itself constitute acceptance.
We keep records of the agreement version, time of consent, account, and necessary technical logs as electronic evidence of formation and performance; you may lawfully contest them and submit contrary evidence.
2.2 Capacity
You must have the legal capacity required for your actions under the law of your jurisdiction. Users who have not reached the age of majority where they live may use the Services only with the consent and under the guidance of a parent or legal guardian; purchases must be completed by the guardian or another person with authority to pay.
2.3 Explanation of standard terms
On request we will explain terms that materially affect your interests. Matters that legally require separate confirmation (such as immediate delivery of digital content, sensitive-data processing, or cross-border data transfers) are confirmed separately and are not replaced by blanket statements in this Agreement.
3. Product Positioning, Current Scope, and Boundaries
3.1 Product positioning
SuperStage is a stage-lighting and performance-visualization plugin built on Unreal Engine. Its main uses are: stage-lighting previsualization in virtual scenes; DMX workflow testing (Art-Net, sACN); fixture patching and checking (Patch, Fixture ID, Universe, Address); MVR/GDTF and grandMA2/grandMA3 project data preparation and exchange; media and NDI preview; and fixture-library and stage-asset placement.
Specific features, supported Unreal Engine versions, operating systems, and plan differences are as stated in your order, the release notes for your version, and the product documentation.
3.2 Current plans and modules
As of the Publication Date, the plan and module structure is as follows (the pricing page and your order prevail):
- Plans (editions): Free Trial, Pro, Ultra, Team, and Education;
- Modules: the SuperStage core (lighting, patch, MVR/GDTF, grandMA data preparation, media and screens, fixture resources, delivery preparation) is the basis of every paid plan; SuperLaser (laser visualization), SuperNdi (NDI video) and FixtureBuilder (fixture authoring) are enhanced modules included in Ultra and above (trial and education plans as described on the pricing page); SuperTailor and similar custom capabilities are for Team customers;
- SuperShader (stage-effect shaders) is a free module requiring no paid license;
- Device limits, commercial-use rights, and terms per plan are set out in Sections 4 and 5 and on the pricing page.
This is a description of the current structure, not a promise that every feature is available in every version, plan, or scenario.
3.3 Historical capabilities not included
Unless your historical order, a separate contract, or a written confirmation from the Company expressly provides otherwise, the following historical modules, projects, or descriptions are not part of current SuperStage plans:
- SuperConsolePro or built-in lighting-console capabilities;
- SuperDroneLink, drone-swarm features, or LimxDroneStudio ancillary benefits;
- MADRIX integration or recording capabilities;
- the SuperData protocol, SuperDataServer, or related SDKs as active commercial modules;
- any other capability that appeared in old documentation, marketing, or test builds but is not in your current order or the current release.
That a feature once appeared or was described publicly does not mean it will be kept, maintained, or included in new orders. Historical perpetual licenses, migration benefits, or special grants are governed by the original order, contract, and the Company's written notices.
3.4 Not a live-site safety system
SuperStage's previsualization, simulation, patching, data exchange, media preview, DMX input/output, and network interactions are aids for design, checking, communication, and testing. Software output may differ from real-world results due to hardware, network, fixture firmware, third-party software, format interpretation, system load, or site conditions.
You must not use SuperStage as the sole safety interlock, emergency stop, personnel protection, fire protection, mechanical limit, laser safety, pyrotechnic safety, drone flight safety, electrical protection, or any other life-safety system.
4. Accounts, Authentication, and License Verification
4.1 Registration and sign-in
Accounts are registered and signed in with one-time email verification codes or Google Sign-In (there are no passwords). Use an email address you control and keep your information accurate. Your account is created automatically on first sign-in.
4.2 Account responsibility
Your account is for you and the users you have authorized. Protect your email account, verification codes, sessions, and devices; do not sell, rent, lend, transfer, publish, or share the account with unauthorized third parties.
Losses caused by a failure to reasonably protect the account are borne by the party at fault as the law provides. If you notice anything unusual, you can revoke suspicious sessions and sign UE devices out on the account security pages, or contact us.
4.3 Device limits and online-session rules (important)
Unless your order expressly provides otherwise:
- Pro: up to 1 device bound at a time;
- Ultra: up to 2 devices bound at a time;
- Team / Education seats: 1 device per seat;
- The UE plugin enforces one online device per account: signing in to the plugin on a new device automatically signs out the plugin session on any other device (website sessions are unaffected);
- Devices are recognized by a device-identifier hash computed on your machine. For ordinary device replacement, repair, or OS reinstallation, you can release the old device yourself on the account devices page or contact us.
You must not circumvent device, seat, trial, or online-session limits through virtual-machine cloning, device-identifier tampering, account rotation, bulk registration, or similar means.
4.4 Online license verification
The plugin requires a network connection for account sign-in, license verification, and periodic session checks:
- after sign-in, the plugin performs periodic checks with the licensing server while the editor runs;
- brief network interruptions do not affect entitlements already verified in the current editor session;
- we do not promise that paid modules can be used long-term in fully offline environments: starting the editor cold without a network connection leaves paid modules unavailable until an online check completes;
- if you need long-term offline use, contact us before purchasing (a device-bound offline-licensed build is available by arrangement: the plugin generates a machine code, and we issue an activation code bound to that machine, verified locally with no network communication);
- license verification runs only inside the Unreal Engine editor; running outputs packaged with the software (such as packaged executables) does not depend on online licensing, though their production and commercial use remain subject to your plan;
- technical protection notice: if the plugin detects that protected derived content (such as a blueprint derived from the plugin's protected base classes) is created, copied, or opened without the corresponding module license (e.g., SuperTailor), it may refuse to open that content, end the current editor session, or remove the newly created unauthorized derived copy. This mechanism targets only unauthorized protected derived content and does not delete other assets in your project; contact us if you believe it triggered in error.
4.5 Trial rules (important)
- A trial license is granted automatically to each new account once, for 3 days, and may not be used for commercial purposes (evaluation, testing, and learning only);
- each account receives one trial, and each device may be used with only one trial account. If a second trial-only account appears on the same device, the related trial accounts are automatically suspended temporarily (currently 3 days); accounts holding paid entitlements are not affected by this device rule;
- suspension notices state the reason and end time. If you believe a suspension is mistaken (for example, a second-hand or shared device), request human review at yunsio@yunsio.com.
4.6 Risk control and appeals
To prevent piracy, account sharing, fraud, attacks, and trial abuse, we perform necessary risk assessment using device-identifier hashes, IP addresses, sign-in times, sessions, and order records, and may take proportionate measures such as re-verification, limiting new devices, or temporarily freezing sessions. Except in urgent security events, we make reasonable efforts to state reasons and provide an appeal channel.
We do not make permanent decisions with material effect on your rights based solely on automation without a path to human review.
5. Software License
5.1 Grant
Subject to your continued compliance with this Agreement and payment of applicable fees, the Company grants you, for the license term, a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable right to install, run, and use the applicable version and modules within the entity, device, seat, term, and purpose scope of your order.
This is a license, not a sale of the software, source code, assets, or any intellectual property.
5.2 Plans and terms
- Free Trial: 3 days, non-commercial, once per account (Section 4.5);
- Pro / Ultra: subscription licenses for individual professionals, offered in six-month and one-year terms; public prices are as published on the pricing page (in CNY);
- Team: seat-based licensing for teams and studios, quoted individually and governed by the order or contract;
- Education: student-seat plans for educational institutions (Section 6);
- Expiry and renewal: we send reminders before expiry (currently 30, 7, and 1 day(s) in advance); no plan auto-renews and no payment is ever taken automatically — renewal requires a new purchase by you. A reasonable grace notice period follows expiry; paid features stop if not renewed;
- promotional periods, discount codes, and bonus benefits have no cash value unless the law or the promotion rules provide otherwise.
5.3 Permitted use of outputs
While your license is valid and you comply with this Agreement, you may:
- use your original Unreal Engine projects, scene designs, lighting designs, patch data, previsualization videos, images, and rendered output in personal, educational, or commercial projects (except under a trial license — trial-period outputs may not be used commercially);
- deliver to clients rendered videos, images, reports, drawings, and other outputs from which the software's original assets cannot be reconstructed;
- run and distribute outputs packaged with the software (their production must occur under a valid license);
- share data you created within a team, provided every person who opens, edits, or runs the software holds a license or seat.
Where outputs include the Company's built-in assets (fixture models, materials, effects), you receive only the right to use and display those assets within ordinary project outputs; you may not extract, sell, or distribute the original assets, fixture-library files, installers, or the plugin as standalone resources.
5.4 Backup copies
You may make a reasonable number of backup copies for installation, migration, or disaster recovery. Backups remain subject to this Agreement and must not be given to unauthorized third parties.
6. Education Institutions and Student Seats (Important)
6.1 Seat model
The Education plan is for schools and training institutions and uses consumable student seats:
- the institution purchases a quantity of student seats by order;
- the institution enrolls students on the education portal (edu.yunsio.com); each enrollment consumes one seat;
- each student seat is valid from enrollment for a fixed period (currently 3 months by default, as stated in the order); the student's access ends automatically on expiry;
- a seat is consumed upon enrollment: removing a student, a student leaving early, or seat expiry does not return, convert, or refund the seat (the enrollment page asks the institution to confirm this rule again);
- instructor seats are managed separately from student seats and can be recycled after an instructor is unbound.
6.2 Institution obligations
The institution must:
- use seats only for its own genuine teaching activities; education seats must not be used for commercial project delivery and must not be resold;
- before enrolling a student, inform the student as required by law and obtain any necessary consent (including guardian consent for minors), and ensure enrollment details are accurate;
- bear responsibility for breaches of this Section. If education seats are used for non-educational purposes or resold, the Company may suspend the affected seats and request an explanation.
6.3 Student use
Students use seats through their own personal accounts and are bound by this Agreement. Student seats are for teaching scenarios; commercial-use rights are as stated in the order and on the pricing page.
7. Prohibited Conduct
Except as expressly permitted by applicable law in a manner that cannot be excluded by contract, you must not do, or help others do, any of the following:
7.1 Piracy and circumvention
- crack, bypass, disable, forge, or tamper with license verification, device identification, signature checks, integrity checks, or other technical protection measures;
- decompile, disassemble, reverse-engineer, inject, memory-scrape, or probe protocols to obtain non-public source code, keys, algorithms, or trade secrets;
- use pirated, leaked, forged, refunded-but-retained, or unsourced licenses, accounts, installers, or plugin files;
- tamper with device identifiers, system time, license data, or security logs to evade license limits.
Research strictly necessary to achieve interoperability with independently created programs, where expressly permitted by law, is not restricted by the above — but you must stay within the legally permitted scope and must not use the results to develop, produce, or sell substantially infringing products.
7.2 Unauthorized copying and distribution
- upload, share, sell, rent, lend, resell, transfer, sublicense, or publicly distribute plugin binaries, offline license files, licenses, internal test builds, or non-public documentation;
- pre-install the software on computers, images, virtual machines, cloud desktops, or project packages sold, rented, or delivered to third parties, without the Company's written permission;
- make the software available for public download via file lockers, forums, groups, torrents, code repositories, or crack sites (official public installers are available only through official channels).
7.3 Assets, data, and AI-training restrictions
Without the Company's written permission, you must not:
- bulk-extract, scrape, copy, or reconstruct the built-in fixture library, models, textures, materials, UI, documentation, sample projects, or non-public data;
- sell, license, or share any of the foregoing as standalone assets, asset packs, datasets, or templates;
- use the software's non-public code, binary-analysis results, original assets, or bulk-extracted data to train, fine-tune, distill, or evaluate AI models, or to build substitute products or asset libraries;
- disrupt licensing, downloads, the website, or the Services through automation, scripts, bots, or abnormal request volumes.
This Section does not restrict non-infringing products you develop independently from public materials, nor research, commentary, teaching, or interoperability rights expressly protected by applicable law.
7.4 Unlawful and infringing use
You must not use the software or Services to:
- infringe others' copyright, trademarks, patents, trade secrets, image rights, privacy, data-protection rights, or other lawful rights;
- create or spread unlawful content, malware, or network-attack tools;
- misrepresent certification, partnership, authorization, or endorsement by the Company, Epic Games, MA Lighting, Vizrt (NDI), or any other third party;
- engage in fraudulent transactions, abusive chargebacks, money laundering, export-control evasion, or other unlawful activity.
8. Intellectual Property and Branding
8.1 Company rights
Except for content belonging to users or third parties, all intellectual property and lawful interests in the SuperStage software, binaries, source code, updates, interface implementations, algorithms, UI, icons, documentation, samples, original models, materials, textures, fixture assets, website content, product names, and commercial identifiers belong to the Company or its licensors.
"SuperStage", "Yunsio", "元析", and other names, marks, and visual elements used by the Company are protected by trademark, copyright, and unfair-competition law. Do not use them commercially in ways that cause confusion as to source, false association, or an impression of official endorsement, without written permission.
8.2 Third-party rights and notices
- Unreal Engine is a trademark or registered trademark of Epic Games, Inc. SuperStage is an independently developed third-party plugin; no agency, joint venture, or official certification relationship exists with Epic Games;
- NDI® is a registered trademark of Vizrt NDI AB. The SuperNdi module includes the NDI® SDK, whose use is governed by the applicable third-party license;
- grandMA, MA2, MA3 and related marks belong to MA Lighting and its affiliates. SuperStage interoperates via public protocols and file formats and contains no MA Lighting software components;
- GDTF and MVR are open industry formats. Manufacturer names, models, and GDTF description files in the built-in fixture library belong to the respective fixture manufacturers or rights holders and are used solely for identification and interoperability;
- other third-party and open-source components used by the software (such as OpenSSL) are governed by their own licenses; where a third-party license conflicts with this Agreement as to that component, the third-party license controls.
References to third-party names describe compatibility or workflow relationships only and imply no certification or guarantee.
8.3 Fixture library and technical data
The built-in fixture library (including manufacturers' GDTF description files) is provided for previsualization and data preparation. It is not guaranteed to match every fixture firmware version, production batch, or third-party software interpretation. For production work, verify against manufacturer data and physical fixtures.
8.4 User content
"User content" means projects, scenes, patch data, fixture data, media, images, videos, models, support attachments, showcase submissions, and other content you lawfully create, import, or upload.
- you or the relevant rights holder retain intellectual property in user content;
- you warrant that you hold the necessary rights and authorizations;
- the Company obtains no access to user content that stays on your local device;
- content you actively upload for support or bug reproduction is processed only as needed for that purpose and deleted afterwards as described in the Privacy Policy;
- showcase submissions ("Featured Works"): by submitting videos, images, or other works through the account center and confirming submission, you grant the Company a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display the work on the official website and in product and promotional materials (including reasonable editing, thumbnails, and attribution). You may withdraw this license at any time by contacting us; we will stop new display uses within a reasonable period. Withdrawal does not affect lawful uses already made.
8.5 Feedback
Bug reports, feature suggestions, and general feedback you volunteer may be used by the Company free of charge to improve the products. This does not extend to information you expressly mark confidential, your complete commercial projects, or third-party protected content.
8.6 Rights complaints
If you believe the software, website, or assets provided by the Company infringe your rights, send proof of rights, the location of the allegedly infringing content, specific reasons, and valid contact details to yunsio@yunsio.com. We will review and act as the law requires. Bad-faith or false complaints incur liability for resulting losses.
9. Third-Party Software, Standards, and External Services
9.1 Unreal Engine
SuperStage requires Unreal Engine, which you must obtain lawfully under Epic Games' license terms. Epic Games' changes to engine versions, interfaces, or policies may affect plugin compatibility.
The Company makes reasonable adaptations to officially released engine versions (currently supported versions are listed on the download page), but does not promise: support for every historical, preview, source-modified, or future version; immediate compatibility upon a new engine release; or perpetual maintenance of old versions affected by third-party interface changes.
9.2 grandMA, MVR, GDTF, NDI, and network protocols
Different third-party software, devices, firmware, and format implementations may interpret the same data differently. Imports, exports, or network interactions may show missing fields, coordinate differences, mode mismatches, media latency, or other compatibility issues.
Independently verify in production: Fixture IDs, universes, addresses, modes, and channel mappings; fixture orientation, coordinates, and geometry; GDTF/MVR or manufacturer library versions; Art-Net, sACN, and NDI network configuration and bandwidth; and the licensing, firmware, and safety requirements of third-party software and devices.
9.3 Third-party service interruptions
Failures, policy changes, or discontinuation of cloud services, content delivery, email, network carriers, or other third-party services may affect some features. The Company will take reasonable steps to restore service or provide alternatives, but is not liable beyond what the law requires for losses caused solely by third parties without fault of the Company.
10. Orders, Prices, Payment, Invoices, and Renewal
10.1 Prices and orders
Product names, plans, terms, prices, currency, and main features are as shown to you before order confirmation. After confirmation we will not unilaterally raise the price or reduce confirmed core entitlements.
Public prices are listed in CNY on the pricing page. An obviously erroneous quote (typographical or system error, or grossly inconsistent with market prices, which you knew or should have known was an error) is not a valid offer; the parties will correct or cancel the order.
10.2 Payment method (important)
We do not currently offer online payment on the website. The purchase flow is: you contact us from the pricing page (or email yunsio@yunsio.com) → we create an order and provide payment details → you pay by bank transfer or another agreed method → we verify receipt manually and activate your entitlements.
- International transfers may incur exchange differences, bank charges, or intermediary fees; unless the order states otherwise, third-party bank charges follow the banks' rules, and we will not impose fees on you that were not disclosed in advance;
- pay only to the receiving account confirmed through our official email or order communications — beware of fraudulent payment requests impersonating us;
- if we adopt an online payment channel in the future, the payment page will identify the provider and this Agreement will be updated.
10.3 Delivery and activation
Licenses are delivered by activating entitlements on your account: once payment is verified, the license and subscription term are written to your account, and the plugin provides the corresponding modules after sign-in. Delivery timing is as communicated with your order; where manual verification or an unusual order causes delay, we will explain and resolve it within a reasonable period.
The plugin installer is publicly available on the download page (with file checksums); downloading is free — paid modules are controlled by account entitlements.
10.4 Invoices and receipts
The Company provides invoices or receipts to eligible purchasers as required by applicable law (including Chinese fapiao for eligible purchasers under PRC tax rules) and does not improperly restrict statutory invoicing rights by plan type. Provide accurate invoicing information; method, tax rates, and timing follow applicable tax law and order communications.
10.5 No automatic renewal
No SuperStage plan auto-renews or auto-charges. Renewal requires a new purchase initiated by you. If an auto-renewal option is ever introduced, we will explain the billing cycle, amount, and cancellation path conspicuously before enrollment, obtain your separate confirmation, and send a reminder before each charge — never enabling it by default or hiding the exit.
11. Digital Products, Refunds, and Withdrawal Rights
11.1 Nature of the product
SuperStage licenses are digital content and services delivered online. Once entitlements are activated on your account, delivery has begun.
11.2 Statutory withdrawal rights
- Consumers in the EEA and the United Kingdom: you generally have a 14-day right of withdrawal for online purchases. For digital content and services, where you expressly request that performance begin immediately (activation of your entitlements) and acknowledge that the right of withdrawal is lost upon full performance, the statutory right may lapse as your local law provides. Regardless of that, our contractual refund policy in Section 11.3 applies to you in full, and nothing in this Agreement reduces rights your local law makes non-waivable.
- Consumers in mainland China: the "seven-day no-reason return" rule does not apply to activated digital products where this has been conspicuously disclosed and confirmed at purchase; see the Chinese version of this Agreement. Statutory quality and breach remedies remain unaffected.
- Other jurisdictions: any mandatory local withdrawal or cooling-off rights remain yours.
11.3 Contractual refund policy
Independent of statutory rights (whichever is more favorable to you prevails):
- Within 7 days of payment and with no more than 48 hours of cumulative actual use, you may request a full refund;
- Between 7 and 30 days after payment, if the software has a material defect affecting its main purpose that remains unresolved after a reasonable repair period, the parties will agree a partial or full refund;
- After 30 days, no-reason refunds are not available in principle;
- Education student seats are consumed on enrollment and enrolled seats are non-refundable (confirmed again at enrollment);
- Regardless of the time limits above, we will refund or remedy as the law requires where: a duplicate charge or amount error is verified; the Company cannot deliver as ordered; the Company materially removes a core paid feature included in your order during your paid term without reasonable substitute; the Company terminates the paid service early for its own reasons and not due to your breach; or other statutory grounds apply.
Where a term-based service must be partially refunded, the amount is calculated reasonably from the remaining term, services already provided, and the parties' fault — unless your order or the law is more favorable to you.
11.4 Refund process and consequences
Send refund requests to yunsio@yunsio.com with your account email, order details, payment evidence, and a description. We review within a reasonable period; refund processing generally takes 7–15 working days (bank and cross-border settlement times are additional).
Upon completion of a refund, the corresponding license, subscription, seats, and entitlements are revoked and you must stop using the paid features. Continuing to use them after a refund is a breach of contract and an infringement.
11.5 Chargebacks and disputed amounts
Initiating abusive chargebacks or false disputes without contacting us first, or continuing to use the software after a refund, may constitute breach. For genuine duplicate charges or service disputes you may lawfully approach your bank; the Company will not retaliate against you for lawfully asserting your rights.
12. Installation, Updates, Compatibility, and Backups
12.1 Installation and system requirements
Install per the official documentation for your version. Supported operating systems, Unreal Engine versions, CPU, GPU, memory, and network requirements are as stated for the current version. Preview engines, unofficial modified builds, virtual machines, compatibility layers, or below-minimum environments may not work.
12.2 Updates and security fixes
The Company may release feature, compatibility, bug-fix, and security updates. The plugin does not download or install updates automatically: when a new version exists, the editor shows a notice and you download it from the official download page yourself. To protect accounts and systems, the Company may discontinue online licensing for old versions with serious security risks, with reasonable advance notice.
Before updating, back up your Unreal Engine projects, configuration, fixture libraries, and MVR/GDTF files. We make reasonable efforts to preserve upgrade paths but do not guarantee every historical project opens unchanged in new versions.
12.3 Project backups
SuperStage works on your local projects; the Company provides no cloud project storage. Maintain independent backups; do not rely on a single device.
The Company has no no-fault liability for data loss caused by missing backups, accidental deletion, disk failure, ransomware, or third-party sync conflicts — except where caused by the Company's intent or gross negligence or where the law provides otherwise.
13. Service Changes, Test Features, and Discontinuation
13.1 Normal iteration
The Company may update features, interfaces, documentation, assets, and support scope for technical, security, legal, third-party, or product reasons:
- free, trial, experimental, or Beta-labeled features may be changed or discontinued, avoiding unnecessary loss to users;
- core features expressly included in an order will not be materially reduced during the paid term without good reason, notice, and a remedy;
- where a security vulnerability, legal risk, third-party license termination, or emergency requires immediate action, the Company may act first and explain promptly.
13.2 Remedies for material changes
If the Company permanently removes a core ordered feature during your paid term in a way that significantly defeats the contract's purpose, it will, as appropriate: keep an old working version or transition period available; provide a substantially equivalent alternative; extend the license term; refund the unperformed part reasonably; or negotiate separately with enterprise customers.
13.3 Discontinuation
If the Company discontinues the paid business as a whole, it will announce this in advance as the law requires and properly handle outstanding orders, user data, and account entitlements. Dissolution, insolvency, or other statutory procedures follow the applicable law.
14. Personal Data and Network Security
The Company processes personal data lawfully, fairly, and minimally. The processing purposes, data categories (including the passwordless sign-in system, hashed device fingerprints, and trial anti-abuse records), retention, service providers, storage location (primary business data is stored in mainland China; limited supporting services involve overseas processing), transfer arrangements, and your rights are set out in the Privacy Policy and are not restated here.
In particular: the plugin exchanges only the minimum data needed for sign-in, session validation, and version checks. It does not upload your project content and contains no behavioral telemetry; see the Privacy Policy.
15. Professional Use and Safety Responsibilities
15.1 Professional verification duties
Before using SuperStage for real projects, on-site integration, client delivery, or device control, qualified personnel must independently verify: fixture patch, modes, addresses, and channel mappings; network isolation and configuration; device firmware and third-party software versions; the behavior of physical fixtures, media devices, and control systems; and emergency stops, safety interlocks, fire, electrical, and venue safety measures.
15.2 Physical devices and stage effects
Laser, pyrotechnic, flame, smoke, and other effect assets in the software are for virtual previsualization. That some features can interact with real devices via DMX or network data does not mean the software meets the safety-control standards of real effect equipment.
Real lasers, pyrotechnics, machinery, drones, electrical systems, rigging, and other high-risk equipment must be operated by qualified professionals per device instructions, applicable standards, venue rules, and regulatory requirements, with independent hardware safety interlocks and emergency systems.
15.3 No life-critical use
Without the Company's separate written confirmation, SuperStage must not be used in medical life support, aerospace flight control, nuclear facilities, traffic signaling, industrial safety interlocks, weapons systems, or any other use where failure could directly cause death, serious injury, or major environmental damage.
16. Technical Support
16.1 Scope
The Company provides installation, licensing, and general usage support via email (yunsio@yunsio.com), account tickets, documentation, and tutorials. Language, priority, and response times depend on plan and complexity; no fixed SLA applies except as expressly agreed for Team or under a separate contract.
16.2 Outside general support
The following may require separate fees or fall outside general support: full lighting design, modeling, patching, or on-site operation for your projects; debugging third-party hardware, LANs, or modified engine builds; recovering user data; custom development, on-site support, or emergency show coverage; support for pirated software, unofficial builds, or versions beyond their support window.
17. Breach Handling and Account Measures
17.1 Principles
Measures follow legality, necessity, and proportionality, distinguishing security risks, ordinary breaches, and serious breaches, with an appeal channel (yunsio@yunsio.com, human review).
17.2 Ordinary breaches
For correctable ordinary breaches, the Company will normally first require you — by account notice or email — to stop the conduct, obtain proper licenses, or remedy within a reasonable period; prompt correction without major harm restores service.
17.3 Serious breaches
The Company may immediately suspend or terminate the affected account, license, or service, and pursue liability, where you: crack, pirate, mass-distribute, or sell licenses or installers; attack the licensing servers, website, download service, or other users; obtain services by fraud, forged orders, or abusive chargebacks; continue use after a refund or resell education seats; infringe Company or third-party IP or trade secrets with (potential) serious harm; use the Services for crime; persistently exceed your license or share accounts after reasonable notice; or where the law or a competent authority so requires.
17.4 Losses and costs
If your intentional or negligent breach, infringement of third-party rights, or unlawful conduct causes the Company losses, damages, fines, or necessary enforcement costs confirmed by a final judgment, administrative decision, or reasonable settlement, you are liable within the scope of your fault and legal responsibility. This Section does not impose on consumers any liability the law does not.
18. Warranties, Disclaimers, and Limitation of Liability
18.1 Basic warranty
The Company warrants that it is entitled to provide the software and services it has developed or lawfully licensed, and will use commercially reasonable efforts to maintain the product, its security, and the main features stated in your order.
18.2 General limitations
To the extent permitted by law, the software is provided as available. Given software complexity and third-party environments, we do not warrant that: the software is error-free or uninterrupted; it is compatible with all hardware, drivers, operating systems, Unreal Engine versions, third-party software, or devices; it achieves fixed frame rates, latency, rendering quality, or particular commercial outcomes; virtual lighting, beams, media, or effects exactly match real devices and venues; third-party format imports/exports are free of data differences; or any feature exists permanently.
Where an order, product page, or separate contract makes an express commitment on a metric, that commitment prevails.
18.3 Events not attributable to the Company
Where the Company has taken reasonable measures and acted without intent or gross negligence, it is not liable for service problems caused by: your devices, network, drivers, third-party software, fixture firmware, or project configuration; failure to follow documentation, back up, or stay within the license; failures of carriers, cloud providers, email services, or other third parties; attacks, malware, or third parties' unlawful acts; or force majeure, government action, or changes in law — except as the law otherwise provides.
The Company will still act reasonably to mitigate once aware, and will not rely on third-party causes to refuse performance of all obligations.
18.4 Liability that cannot be excluded
Nothing in this Agreement excludes or limits: liability for death or personal injury for which the Company is legally responsible; liability for property loss caused by the Company's intent or gross negligence; liability for fraud or willful misconduct; or consumer, product-quality, personal-data, or network-security liability that applicable law does not allow to be excluded.
18.5 Indirect losses (Business Users only)
For Business Users only, and to the maximum extent permitted by law, the Company is not liable for unforeseeable indirect, incidental, punitive, or consequential losses — including lost profits, lost anticipated transactions, loss of goodwill, show-cancellation losses, client claims, substitute-service costs, and lost data opportunities — except where the Company knew at contracting that such loss was within the contract's purpose and the law imposes liability.
18.6 Liability cap (Business Users only)
For Business Users only, and to the maximum extent permitted by law, the Company's aggregate contractual liability for any one event or series of related events is capped at the fees actually paid by that user to the Company for the affected service in the twelve months preceding the event. This cap does not apply to Section 18.4 liabilities or where the parties agree a higher standard in writing.
18.7 Consumers
For consumers, the Company's liability is determined by applicable consumer-protection and other mandatory law. The limitations in this Agreement apply to consumers only to the extent they do not unreasonably exempt the Company, increase the consumer's liability, or exclude the consumer's principal rights.
19. Term and Termination
19.1 Termination by you
You may stop using and uninstall the software at any time, and may request account deletion in account settings (30-day cooling-off period; see the Privacy Policy). Deletion does not extinguish accrued payment, infringement, breach, or dispute obligations. If you stop using a paid plan mid-term, refunds follow Section 11.
19.2 Termination by the Company
The Company may terminate this Agreement or a specific service where: the license term expires without renewal; you commit a serious breach permitting termination; the Company lawfully discontinues operations; the law or a competent authority requires it; or the parties agree. Except for urgent security risks or serious illegality/infringement, the Company will make reasonable efforts to notify you first and allow appeal or cure.
19.3 Consequences of termination
On termination of the Agreement or a license: stop using the lapsed paid features and delete installation copies and non-public materials you are no longer entitled to keep; user content you lawfully created remains yours; you may keep exported renders, images, videos, and other lawful outputs; project files depending on the plugin may no longer be editable — complete backups and exports before termination; IP, confidentiality, liability, and dispute-resolution clauses survive.
20. Changes to This Agreement
Ordinary changes (typo fixes, contact updates, changes without material effect on your rights) are published on the website.
Material changes — to license scope, fees, refunds, account actions, liability limits, or dispute resolution — are notified conspicuously (email, account notice, in-product notice, or website announcement) with a reasonable advance period. Where the law requires renewed consent, we will ask you to agree again explicitly; silence or continued use alone does not substitute.
Except as required by law, security, or agreed otherwise, material changes do not retroactively reduce core entitlements you purchased that are still in term. If you reject a material change you may stop using the Services; for unperformed paid services the parties settle the remainder as the law provides.
21. Notices
The Company sends notices via your registered email, account notifications, in-product notices, or website announcements; notices about payment, termination, material changes, or security incidents use prominence matching their importance.
Keep your registered email valid and check it. Legal notices, complaints, or rights requests to the Company go to yunsio@yunsio.com; postal correspondence goes to the Company's published registered address.
22. Force Majeure
Force majeure means objective circumstances that are unforeseeable, unavoidable, and insurmountable. The affected party must notify the other promptly and mitigate. Force majeure excuses liability only within its actual scope and duration. Whether a cyber attack, cloud outage, or supplier failure qualifies depends on its foreseeability, avoidability, and the measures the Company had taken — it is not automatically excused.
23. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
23.1 Governing law
This Agreement is governed by the laws of mainland China (the People's Republic of China), excluding its conflict-of-laws rules to the extent permitted. If you are a consumer, this choice of law does not deprive you of protections granted by mandatory provisions of the law of your country of habitual residence.
23.2 Negotiation and complaints
Contact yunsio@yunsio.com first to resolve disputes amicably. Consumers may also complain to consumer-protection bodies or regulators competent for them under their local law.
23.3 Jurisdiction
- Consumers: disputes may be brought before the courts having jurisdiction under applicable law; this Agreement does not limit a consumer's statutory right to choose a forum, including, where mandatory local law so provides, the courts of the consumer's own residence;
- Business Users: disputes arising from this Agreement are submitted to the competent people's court at the Company's domicile, except where the law provides exclusive jurisdiction elsewhere.
23.4 Urgent IP relief
For piracy, cracking, trade-secret leakage, or other conduct threatening irreparable harm, the Company may seek evidence preservation, asset preservation, injunctions, or other interim relief before any negotiation.
24. Export Controls, Sanctions, and Restricted Uses
You must comply with export-control, sanctions, and trade-compliance laws applicable to the software, cryptographic technology, and cross-border transactions — including those of China and any other jurisdiction applicable to you — and must not use the software for prohibited military, weapons, WMD, terrorist, or otherwise restricted purposes. If a transaction or service is prohibited by applicable law, the Company may decline or stop delivery and will handle received fees and notices as the law requires.
25. Miscellaneous
25.1 Entire agreement
This Agreement together with the documents in Section 1.3 is the entire agreement on the software and Services. Staff cannot make oral promises conflicting with formal orders or written contracts, except promises that legally form part of the transaction or that the Company has ratified.
25.2 Severability
If any term is held invalid or unenforceable, it is adjusted to the minimum extent necessary within the law, without affecting the remaining terms.
25.3 No waiver
Failure to exercise a right promptly is not a permanent waiver. A one-time accommodation creates no continuing obligation.
25.4 Assignment
You may not assign the license or this Agreement without the Company's written consent. If the Company assigns this Agreement upon merger, division, restructuring, or business succession, it will notify you as required and ensure the successor assumes the obligations, without materially harming rights you have acquired.
25.5 Language
This Agreement is available in Chinese and English (and possibly other languages). This English version is independently drafted for international users with necessary adaptations for their jurisdictions. If the versions diverge on the same matter, the Chinese version prevails to the extent permitted by law; mandatory local rules protecting consumers remain unaffected.
25.6 Headings
Headings are for convenience only and do not affect interpretation.
